Harvest House Ransacked

When the murderous police of Zimbabwe descended on MDC Headquarters, Harvest House, they ransacked the building, breaking furniture, fixtures, destroying documents, they broke toilet seats and cisterns, they broke doors and several windows left offices of MDC officials strewn with papers, ripped telephone lines and took away computers. According to MDC's deputy secretary for Legal Affairs Jessie Majome the debris resembled a scene of bomb attack. Harvest House is a six-storey building in which the MDC occupies the two upper floors with the rest occupied by an assortment of tenants.
The police ordered everyone in the building, including tenants and their clients, to get into the police vehicles. While they were destroying the physical headquarters of MDC they also arrested more than a 100 people including MDC workers and activists who were all taken to Harare Central Police, Law & Order section were their passports were consficated they were beaten, tortured, denied access to lawyers, food and medical attention, they have since been admitted to hospital with serious injuries. The tortured activists are being charged with attempted murder linked to to the recent spate of petrol bomb attacks that the agents of government planted in order to dirty MDC's name. President Tsvangirai's aide Ian Makone is being charged with illegal possession of a firearm. Lawyers representing the accused are being denied access to their clients, when a crisis team went to see the activists arrested they were threatened with beatings by the state agents.

Its not clear why the illegal government of Robert Mugabe has gone into overdrive in its quest to suppress the people of Zimbabwe. One clear explanation is to hoodwink the regional leaders so tasked by the whole international community to exert pressure on Robert Mugabe by blaming the recent spate of bomb attacks on MDC its a gimmick by the illegal government of Robert Mugabe to transfuse the people at large into thinking that MDC is behind the recent spate of petrol bombs so at to justify his brutal crushing of MDC which is happening with impunity.
